Blowing Bubbles Purse  $40    6 x 4 1/2 x 2 inches
The kids are running crazy outside in the sunshine writing hopscotch on the sidewalks and blowing billions of bubbles!  This purse was inspired by their laughter and sudsy fun.  It is made from pink Meltie Feltie and has a strap made out of yarn from Plucky Fluff.  The image on the front is a vintage trade card used for advertising in the early 1900's.  The whole thing is hand stitched and embellished with glass beads and iridescent sequins.

Laugh as Much as Possible!  $30    6 x 4 inches
Laughter is the only thing that keeps me sane sometimes and I love sharing it with friends old and new.  Now I'm sharing it with you in this hand stitched piece.  The image of the man is an original gem type photo from my private collection and is stitched on top of an antique ledger piece.  He's accented with mother-of-pearl buttons and a rub-on heart.  A silver bee dangles from the bottom to remind you that no matter the sting ... laughter will cure you!

Here Comes the Sun  $40    9 x 5 1/2 inches
All my seeds are sprouting and I have the sun to thank!  It's warmed the earth and encouraged my ferns to send their fingers uncurling toward the sky.  I've captured a little bit of sunshine in this piece just for you.  This piece is hand quilted from cloth, felt and book paper.  The entire piece is embellished with stitched X's, French knots and spiral sequins held in place by glass beads.  Hang it on your wall and the sun will always shine on you!

He Likes to Eat  $50    5 inch square fat canvas
When my son was little, one of his favorite songs to sing was I Like to Eat Apples & Bananas.  That song always stuck with me and when I found an antique ledger page with "Oranges & Bananas" written on it, I knew I had to create something special with it.  The boy image is printed on a transparency that I burned and stitched, adding a twig from my yard, a bronze shell charm and glass beads.  The canvas has sunshine rub-ons wrapped around the edges  and then weathered with white paint.  I'm guessing he ate the oranges first from the look on his face!
