Spun Cotton Snow Girl Figure - $20

This chilly chica is whimsical and almost angelic all decked out in white. She was hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. She has a paper scrap face, cotton trim and holds tight to a vintage white pine sprig.  She's about 4" tall and stands on a domed silver glittery knoll with vintage sheet music trim and mica flaked cotton snowballs.  She's $20.

I create whimsical, one of a kind spun cotton and needle felted figures and decorations for holidays, special occasions and everyday display.  They are made using antique, vintage and new items (I don't discriminate!) and many of the materials used are recycled and re-purposed, contributing to my need to save the world.  All of my work is inspired by decorations and objects from the past and I specialize in vintage style spun cotton ornaments and figures, much like the ones German artisans made a hundred years ago.  These pieces are available this month:

Needle Felted Wool Snow Man Figure - $20

This little guy is ready for snow! He's about 4" high and is made from cleaned and carded wool using a technique called needle felting, where the wool is poked hundreds and often thousands of times with a barbed needle to get the desired shape. He stands easily on his own on any flat surface (no need for extra support). He has a sweet paper scrap face with antique bead buttons (they really look like coal up close!), a vintage storybook paper top hat and a paper scarf. He holds an antique glass ball lantern to light his way on those snowy nights!  He's $20.

Spun Cotton Snow Girl Ornament - $15

This little girl is all all bundled up for the snowy hills and crisp cold air of Christmas time! She has a spun cotton body, hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. She has a paper scrap face taken from an early Victorian post card, cotton trim, vintage white stone set buttons, a millinery flower brooch and is holding a sprig of white berries. She is about 4" tall and is the perfect size for your feather tree!  She's $15.

She's a pretty one! This spun cotton snow fairy figure is whimsical and almost angelic. She was hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas. She has a paper scrap face, crepe dress with silver dresden bodice and crepe shawl, a tiny rhinestone brooch and vintage paper wings dotted with silver glitter. She holds tight to a vintage silver glass ball, is about 4" tall and stands on a domed silver glittery knoll with vintage sheet music trim and white millinery flowers.  She's $23.
